Pam Griffey

ARTIST BIO

My name is Pam Griffey. I took up painting and craft when I had to retire early and needed to keep busy!! I started with watercolour which was rather difficult and then moved on to Acrylics with which I have painted the churn. I have done several art courses and now enjoy painting an eclectic mix of subjects. I am not a professional though have sold a few pictures through Newquay Art Society shows.

I wanted to support the charity Cornwall Hospice Care ,who do so much for the people of Cornwall. And the challenge of painting a churn appealed to me. I chose iconic views of Cornwall which include St Michael’s Mount, The Headland Hotel, A tin mine and some surf boards. (In case you can’t recognise them !).

I also create pictures in material or wool, silk paint, make bags and have a go at anything that comes my way!!

Am a keen gardener and sell plants at the front gate for charity.

I hope that you enjoy the Churn Trail and will support the fund raising for Cornwall Hospice Care.
