WHAT'S 38 CHURNS ALL ABOUT?

AN OVERVIEW

Around Cornwall in 38 churns is a passionately created project by Sue Dennett to raise funds for Cornwall Hospice Care whilst showcasing Cornwall’s very talented artists and also highlighting many stunning locations across the county.

Each one of the artists involved have donated their time and talent to this project.

These very beautiful milk churns were generously donated by Roddas Creamery with Visit Cornwall assisting and the Cornwall Hospice Care Fundraising and PR Team Playing a vital part in making the project come to life.

The logo for the project was created by Blumin Creative.  The auction is being organised and run up to the closing date  of 21st September by David Lay Auctions Penzance.

There will be an interactive map plus a printed version of where the churns are displayed.

Accompanying each churn will be a poster  detailing the project, introducing the artists who have given up their time and details of how to bid.

Look out for the Trail and make sure you follow and share our social media pages and stay tuned for all the latest updates and beautiful churn pictures.

Don’t forget to bid. This is a one time opportunity to own an artwork with a difference.

ABOUT CORNWALL HOSPICE CARE

Cornwall Hospice Care is a 24/7 Cornish healthcare charity that provides end of life support for people with terminal illnesses. Our clinical teams and volunteers support patients and their families, carers and friends at Mount Edgcumbe Hospice in St Austell, St Julia’s Hospice in Hayle, through our Community Services and where appropriate, in people’s homes and in local care homes.  We offer patient and family support services such as bereavement counselling.

The charity also supports a 24-hour advice line for other healthcare professionals and provides outpatient lymphoedema support. Our Education team offer training to external organisations.

We have an active Community Services team who have adapted their offer because of the pandemic, providing online services such as our new Useful Links Directory.  Neighbourhood Hub consultations (currently online and by telephone) also provide support to patients and carers with relevant treatments being provided by our own Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists.
